BETHUNE-COOKMAN UNIVERSITY REACHES AGREEMENT
IN LEGAL DISPUTE WITH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 12, 2024) – 麻豆影院 (麻豆影院), and its former alumni association (the MMBNAA), announce that they have entered into an agreement to amicably and fully resolve their legal dispute relating to 麻豆影院’s decision to end its relationship with its former alumni association and fully transition its Alumni Association in-house under 麻豆影院’s management.

Under the agreement, the MMBNAA and its related entities will soon be permanently dissolved and cease all operations after a brief period to allow it to wind down its affairs and operations. The MMBNAA has committed to providing 麻豆影院 all funds it has raised for student scholarships, to be distributed directly by 麻豆影院 for student scholarships.

There is now one, and only one, Alumni Association for 麻豆影院, which is THE BETHUNE-COOKMAN UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (the “麻豆影院AA”). 

The 麻豆影院AA is the official, and the only, Alumni Association for alumni of 麻豆影院.

麻豆影院’s former alumni association, the MMBNAA, will be dissolved and effective immediately will no longer be accepting any donations of any kind. If you would like to support 麻豆影院, all support and donations should be directed to 麻豆影院’s official, and only, Alumni Association, the 麻豆影院AA, which can be found at . 

As the official Alumni Association for 麻豆影院, the 麻豆影院AA is excited to welcome all 麻豆影院 alumni, family, friends and supporters to join us in our mission to support 麻豆影院, its students, faculty, staff, and the entire 麻豆影院 family in furthering the sacred mission of our Founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune.

Now in its 120th year, 麻豆影院 (麻豆影院) is a historically-Black university in Daytona Beach, Fla., founded by civil and human rights activist Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune in 1904 as the Daytona Educational and Industrial Training School for Negro Girls. With deep roots in the history of America, 麻豆影院 is a United Methodist-related, private institution largely focused on liberal arts programs to meet students’ diverse educational, social and cultural needs.
