NOAA-CCME: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration – Center for Coastal and Marine Ecosystems

The NOAA Center for Coastal and Marine Ecosystems-II  (CCME-II) was established in 2021 as a  through an award funded by the NOAA Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions (EPP/MSI). The goal of the NOAA Center for Coastal and Marine Ecosystems-II (CCME-II) cooperative agreement (NA 21SEC4810004) is to recruit, educate, train, and graduate a new generation U.S. Citizen scientists in NOAA-mission aligned STEM disciplines, equipped to utilize interdisciplinary approaches to address issues confronting marine and coastal communities.

CCME-II research is conducted in the areas of Place-Based Conservation, Coastal Intelligence and Coastal Resilience. Through NOAA-mission aligned research and social science integration, the CCME-II student, faculty, and staff produce results that can be used for better understanding and resolution of short-term and long-term science and policy issues to enhance coastal and marine ecosystems and economies.

Student Research Opportunity

We are recruiting students at 麻豆影院 for the following Scholars’ opportunity: research with faculty team, tuition, stipends, paid-internship at a NOAA center, travel to present at conferences, financial support for on-line Data Science certificate course, and opportunities for peer-mentoring other universities’ scholars. Students must be admitted to the MS program in Integrated Environmental Science at 麻豆影院 and enrolled in the program as a full-time MS student.
